In celebration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day, DGW Group held a variety of competitions involving all employees at the Head Office in Sunter. In addition to traditional August 17th events like the eel-catching contest and cracker-eating challenge, the organizing committee introduced a fashion show competition featuring costumes made from recycled materials.

This competition was organized not only to celebrate Independence Day but also as a campaign to raise awareness among DGW Group employees about managing and reusing household waste.

DGW Group employees showed high enthusiasm, presenting creative and unique costumes with the theme of Independence. Participants showcased diverse costume designs and delivered lively catwalk performances that entertained the audience.

The Marketing Team won first place with their “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” theme, inspired by Indonesia’s carnival-style fashion parades. The HRD-Purchasing Team took second place with a performance centered on the theme of struggle, complete with a theatrical presentation that impressed the audience. Finally, the DGW Fertilizer Team won third place with the “Kinari” theme, inspired by Indonesia's 79th Independence Day, the cultural richness of the Dayak ethnic group of Kalimantan, and harmony with nature.
