In March, PT Dharma Guna Wibawa (DGW) organized several events, one of which was the Agro Fair held on March 7, 2024, at the village field in Kelapa Sawit Village, Lakbok District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. This event invited approximately 700 farmers from the Banjar, Ciamis, and Pangandaran regions. It was also attended by local district officials from Lakbok and the head of KTNA Lakbok.

This Agro Fair was the second time the event was held in the Ciamis, Banjar, and Pangandaran areas. It was the result of collaboration between the West Java Demand Creation Team and the West Java Regional Sales Team. The Agro Fair activities began with a "gropyokan" (mass effort) conducted by the Demand Creation Team over two months, gathering insights into challenges faced by farmers. This gropyokan activity highlighted key farmer issues that need special attention, such as labor costs and controlling leaf spot and blast diseases, making the Agro Fair essential in helping farmers tackle these problems.

During the event, farmers gathered at discussion stands to address cultivation challenges, followed by observing direct solutions in the Demfarm fields, featuring plants in both vegetative and generative stages using Salvator and Explore product technology. In addition to the Demfarm fields, specimen plants were displayed, including rice from the seeding to vegetative and generative stages, as well as chili and papaya—both significant crops in the Ciamis area. DGW also introduced the DGW Solution app, an innovative tool for farmers to address pest and disease issues by taking photos of affected crops with a smartphone to receive treatment recommendations, including the appropriate DGW products.

This event also involved the local community, with eight local small businesses (UMKMs) providing food and refreshments for participants, thus positively impacting the village economy. The enthusiasm of the farmers was palpable, with participants expressing their happiness and noting that the event was very helpful for handling field challenges. They hope that the Agro Fair will become an annual event in their village.
