DGWG Marks First Carbamate Export to South Africa, Strengthening Global Expansion Drive

September 15, 2025

Jakarta – PT Delta Giri Wacana Tbk (stock code: DGWG) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful first export of its carbamate methomyl 90 SP product through its subsidiary, PT Dharma Guna Wibawa. A total of 15 tons was shipped to South Africa, marking an important step for the company in entering the international market.

This inaugural carbamate export represents a major achievement for DGWG and further strengthens its track record in penetrating global markets, following its earlier success in exporting formulated pesticide products to Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Global demand for raw materials such as methomyl remains high, particularly for use in insecticide production by agrochemical industries, including those in South Africa.

Beyond market demand, DGWG’s success in securing international buyers is also driven by the company’s proactive efforts in promoting its business and product portfolio at various occasions. One notable example was DGWG’s participation in the 25th China International Agrochemical & Crop Protection Exhibition (CAC), which connected the company with a broad network of consumers and players in the global agrochemical industry.

DGWG Director, Yody Suganda, emphasized that this first export marks a critical milestone for the company. “It did not take long for DGWG to secure international clients since the inauguration of our carbamate plant. This proves that the global market has strong confidence in DGWG as a reliable partner in supplying raw materials. We hope this will serve as a solid starting point for broader market penetration, allowing export volumes to continue growing,” he stated.

According to DGWG’s study, domestic demand for methomyl-based products is estimated at 2,500 metric tons per year. Currently, DGWG’s carbamate plant can meet around 40% of the total domestic demand through its flagship product, Dangke 40WP. This figure underscores the substantial opportunities available to meet national needs while also expanding into international markets. The establishment of DGWG’s carbamate plant is a strategic move to strengthen domestic supply, reduce import dependency, and pave the way for future production capacity expansion.

Echoing this outlook, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry reported that in 2024, imports of formulated pesticide products reached 87,350 tons. This large volume reflects the strong demand for agrochemical products in Indonesia, in line with the vast scale of the country’s agricultural land.

With these achievements and optimistic projections, DGWG is well-positioned to reaffirm its standing as a leading national agro-input company capable of competing in global markets, while simultaneously creating opportunities for sustainable business growth in the future.
